Meet the team

Charlotte Hanson
Charlotte BVMS MRCVS

Charlotte is our director and head Veterinary Surgeon. She studied at Glasgow University, qualifying as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2010. Charlotte has continued developing her knowledge, skills and experience when working with a variety of Mixed and Small Animal Practices.

Charlotte was a finalist in the Vet of the Year Awards 2020

Cristina Veterinary Surgeon

I  qualified as a Veterinary  Surgeon in Spain in 2014, and shortly after moved to the Uk.

I love emergency and critical care medicine.

I also love geriatric animals and have a soft spot for them.

I love to walk in the park and taking my son to the farm to cuddle the animals.

Rachael BVM BVS MRCVS

Rachael qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Nottingham University in 2017. Starting out in mixed practice and now working as a small animal vet. Rachael joined us in June 2022 and enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. In her spare time she loves travel, nature photography, horse riding and spending time with her Shiba Inu dog Yoshi.

Rebecca

Rebecca has worked as a receptionist for 19 years and is very much at home enjoying her new role with the Animal Doctor, having recently joined the team in August 2020.

Outside of work she is a busy mum to her daughter, likes to go walking with her dogs Blue and Sasha and riding her pony Sherbert.

Deborah

Deborah joined the team in January 2021. She has worked as a veterinary receptionist for over 30 years and is passionate about good customer service.

 

Deborah is married with two teenage children who keep her busy at home, loves walking, reading, socialising with friends and eating cake.

Terri

Terri enjoys working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

 

She loves walking her 3 dogs - Ruby, Blue and Dexter.

Terri's other passions include hiking, camping, baking and chilling on the sofa watching movies.

Amanda

Amanda qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from the Royal Veterinary College in 2023.

 

After qualifying, she joined Animal Doctor in July 2023.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing golf and watching movies.

Lauren

Lauren has seven years of dedicated  dog rescue work and is qualified in canine behaviour. She served as a receptionist in a bustling 24-hour practice before joining Animal Doctor.

Outside of work, you'll often find her immersed in a good book or enjoying long walks with her beloved rescue terrier companion.

Miriam MVB MRCVS
Miriam qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in Dublin in 1995. Starting out in a Mixed Practice moving to Small Animal and Equine in the UK. With 25 years+ experience, there is very little Miriam hasn't come across. At home there are 2 rescue cats along with George the Red Setter and several thousand bees.

Miriam was a finalist in the National Vet Awards 2018

Gabi BSc BVM BVS MRCVS

Gabi has worked as a small animal veterinary surgeon since qualifying from Notts University in 2020, joining the team in 2023. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine with a keen interest in our exotic species! Outside of work Gabi is kept busy by her little boy, 3 basset hounds, 2 rabbits, a bearded dragon, leopard tortoise and giant african land snails.

Emily

Emily joined the team in April 2021 having enjoyed working with animals in various roles for over 7 years. Her passion for animals began as a young child when her parents owned a local pet shop.

In her spare time Emily enjoys walking, climbing, baking and taking care of her Lionhead rabbit Leo

Sophie

Sophie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2013 from Harper Adams University. She has experience working in first opinion practice and orthopedic referral.

She joined Animal Doctor in November 2021. In her spare time she loves travelling, spending time with her family, friends and Steve the cat.

Jade Trainee Nursing Assistant

Jade joined the Animal Doctor team in November 2020 and is working towards her nursing assistant qualification.

 

She really enjoys paediatric care and goes home to a whole farm of animals including dogs, cats and horses.

Joining Animal Doctor July 2021, I've been working in veterinary practice since 2017. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020 at Nottingham Trent University. I have a love for all animal but my soft spot is nursing elderly patients. At home I have two cats, Ollie and Poppy. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends

Rosie

Rosie is a popular and energetic member of the team, bringing her enthusiasm for caring and supporting all animals to the practice.

At home she enjoys walking in the Peak District and the company of her family which includes both dogs and cats.
